Mark has been playing drums for around 30 years starting when he was 15 whilst at school.
Mark has a diverse musical taste and deputises for a few local bands playing different styles of music as well as playing in a rock band with a few mates.
Mark has played both original and cover songs recording and playing live the UK, Poland, Melbourne and Sweden.
He has been friends with Jim Bowie for 20 plus years and has played on and off with Jim over this period.
Mark’s Brother Dave was a founding member of Hotel California before he moved to Ireland to live so Mark has had a link with the band since the beginning.
He has embraced the role as drummer in Hotel California.
Mark Says:
‘The Henley drum parts although deceptively simple are always a challenge and are essential to creating the drive behind the Eagles tracks where feel is the key to capturing the essence of the song’.
The comradeship is a major factor being in the band, we are more of a family than just a group of guys making music, with moments of comedy helping the band to relax before some of the bigger shows.
Mark helps to run a local open-mic session encouraging local and young bands to play live and encourage live music stay live in his hometown.
Mark’s moto is ‘Take the music seriously but do not take yourself too seriously!
