Formed in 1999, Hotel California came from humble beginnings having been conceived as a band to play in local pubs and clubs in the Edinburgh area.

Having served their time in working men's clubs all over Scotland and Northern England, Hotel California cut their teeth and refined their sound for a number of years.

Having undergone numerous personnel changes along the way, Hotel California have always aimed to raise the bar with each and every change.

Gradually, they built up a faithful following which eventually led to the demand to play in larger venues across Scotland.

In 2003, The Eagles Story concept was formed and they set out to tour Scotland in the largest venues possible to tell the story of The Eagles with a full production team on hand to assist with video shows, sound and lighting.

The shows received critical acclaim from all quarters and ran for five years.

During the evolution of the Eagles Story, word spread throughout the industry and reached as far as The Eagles themselves. Don Felder was in need of a backing band in order for him to perform at the prestigious Dunhill Cup in St Andrews. Hotel California were enlisted at short notice to play and delivered a blistering set with Don Felder fronting the evening. Such was the success of the event that two years later they were asked again to repeat the honourable task of supporting Don at the same event. High praise indeed and a twice in a lifetime achievement for the band members involved at the time!

Having performed at venues including Edinburgh's Usher Hall, SECC, AECC, Queens Hall and the Famous Spiegeltent the Eagles Story drew to a close.

Since then, Hotel California have travelled to Australia to play at the Melbourne Music Festival and have been involved with numerous corporate and charity fundraising events. Charities that have benefited include CHAS and Capability Scotland.
